About Us - Goffy On Air

images/gofpic217.jpg After a spell away from live broadcasting to concentrate on building up his business, Goffy returned to the airwaves in the summer of 2013.

He was approached by BBC Tees, and initially presented a one-off show for the Bank Holiday.  As this went well, Paul was offered a regular Saturday lunchtime show on the station.

Having previously always worked in Commercial Radio (see On Air History page), Goffy found working for the BBC quite different, but quickly got into his stride.

"To be honest I didn't realise how much I had missed being on the air until I started broadcasting again," Goffy commented.

"Doing just a weekend show enables me to concentrate on running my Marketing & Promotions business, while still satisfying my performing abilities. However, I do also enjoy it when they ask me to present additional shows!"

Goffy has always enjoyed appearing at live events too, and being back on the radio has given him new opportunities. He is pictured right with BBC TV Presenter Colin Briggs at a local Christmas Lights switch-on event for BBC Tees.

This proves the power of local radio, and BBC Tees obviously recognise Goffy's popularity in the region, as well as all his broadcasting and live event hosting experience.

There was obviously a lot of press interest in Goffy returning to the airwaves, and as well as the piece in the Sunday Sun (featured on this site's Home page) there were several further articles, two of which you can read below.
